On this Thursday evening, I played for a Middle and High School Choral Concert in Sandy Springs. “Three Russian Folk Songs” and “Cross the Wide Missouri” The vocals were beautifully harmonized. It was a pleasure to play with such a great group of young performers.

What a beautiful autumn day! Today I played in a charming chapel at Simpsonwood – Conference and Retreat Center. The weather was perfect with a slight breeze. The colors surrounding the area were breathtaking. The property has long trails where you’ll feel enveloped in the fall season.
Here I played for a wedding ceremony for a lovely couple. The chapel has a grand piano as well as an organ. You’ll feel like you went back in time and may want to stay a while. Peaceful and serene are two words I would use to describe this quaint setting.

The Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center is located in Buford.
It’s a museum, event venue and has great walking trails for the nature lover. The event facility has massive windows to let in the natural light and lets the environment from outside be seen from the inside at every turn. They have a grand piano in excellent condition. It was a pleasure to play on it during the cocktail hour of a wedding that took place there. The bride and groom selected music from the Beatles, Sinatra and Jazz artists to fashion their classy theme.

This is the Evergreen Resort and Conference Center at Stone Mountain. Here I played at a fundraising event. I first played by the beautiful large windows you see in the photo. The combination of music and nature was very tranquil for me as well as for the guests. Afterwards the piano was moved into one of the ballrooms. There I played while the guests enjoyed their meal by playing contemporary Christian music.

The Ansley Golf Club is located in the heart of Atlanta. The golf course views are breathtaking and the nature surroundings are enchanting. At this country club they have a seven foot Steinway grand piano. Here I played for two hours during happy hour as members enjoyed a early dinner and engaged in good conversation.

This event was at a private party celebrating a newly wed couple. The parents had a gathering of a hundred people over to celebrate their daughters’ marriage. The piano was in flawless condition. It was in tune and looked great, you could see the owners really appreciated music and the design of the piano.
I played soft jazz with a mix of love songs to create a enjoyable backdrop to the conversations that were held around the home.

This event provided brides an opportunity to secure hotel accommodations, find wedding event facilities, taste cakes and catering specialties and meet photographers and also enjoy some live piano music provided by Diana Pand.
The Metropolitan Club has a lovely grand piano in a spacious lobby for cocktail hour or move it to the reception for some elegant music while you dine. The club also has a connecting outdoor area for ceremonies.

This was a wedding reception for about 150 people where I played for three hours.
The bride requested love songs, classical and jazz piano music. A good mix to please just about everyone. The guests arrived and had some hors d’oeuvres before getting seated for the reception. The atmosphere was light, fun and carefree. Perfect for the happy couple!
